Pencil Can Design in Salome-Platform
Here is my 3D model of a pencil can.
1) Create a rectangle.
2) Use multi-rotation to rotate the rectangle 2 times.
3) Explode the object into two faces.
4) Fuse the two faces.
5) Explode the object make wire.
6) Scale wire 2 times. (1.2 is the scale factor.)
7) Translate the two scaled wires up (to create the shape of the can).
8) Rotate the middle wire 10 degrees on the Z axis.
8) Use fill operation to create the side surface of the can.
9) Build face on top and bottom of the can.
10) Create disk. (Make the disk bigger than the top of the can.)
11) Translate disk to the top of the can.
12) Cut the top face in the disk ( to make opening.)
13) Select the bottom, the cut, and side surface, to build shell.
14) Thicken the can by 0.1cm.
15) Scale the can by 0.01-from cm to m. (The can was build in cm, but Salome understands only meters.)
