Soap Dish in Salome-Platform
Here is 3D design of a soap dish.
1) Create rectangle.
2) Extrude up by 60.
3) Fillet the edges of the body (the radius is 5).
4) Fillet the bottom (the radius is 10).
5) Explode into faces
6) Build shell from sides, fillets, and bottom. (Do not select the top.)
7) Apply thickness. (Thicken by 1.)
8) Select the rectangle first created.
9) Apply 2D fillet. (The radius is 5.)
10) Explode rectangle into wire.
11) Create disk with 3 as the radius. The orientation is OYZ.
12) Translate disk so that the wire will go through the center.
13) Apply operation extrude along path.
14) Translate the pipe to the top of the shell.
15) Create ellipse. (The vector is OY, major axis is OZ, major radius is 22, and minor radius is 4. This will be the pattern of the soap dish.)
16) Select ellipse and build face.
17) Extrude ellipse along the y axis. (Make it longer than the shell.)
18) Use operation multi-translate.
(Number of times is 4, step is 12, and vector is x.)
19) Translate the figures 6 units along the y axis.
20) Select shell and use operation boolean>cut.
21) Rotate the ellipse extrusion 90 degrees along the z axis.
21) Use operation multi-translate.
(Number of times is 5, step is 12, and vector is x.)
23) Translate the figures 6 units along the x-axis.
24) Select shell and use operation boolean>cut. Select the two multi-translations as the tool object.25) Fuse the cut and the pipe together.
26) Scale the dish by 0.001. ( The dish was build using mm units, but Salome understands only in meters.)
