File Formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and HTML

Image
Here are examples of how different file formats affect picture quality and size. PNG-simple pictures are of good quality and have small size, because of the simple data processed. Complex pictures (such as photos) will have a very large size, because of the complex information. JPEG-has small size and poor quality. It is good for complex information, (such as photos) because of the small size. BPM-processes data pixel by pixel. Has good quality, but a very large size. TIFF-similar to BMP. Good quality, but very large size. .JPEG-12.4kB  .PNG-3.3k.B .TIFF-922.4kB HTML format HTML- communicates with the internet to display text, images, etc. in a web page.

Tower in Solidworks

Image
Here is my tower in Solidworks. This is a steel watch tower. It includes 4 platforms and 3 stairs (rails not shown). Parts will be assembled and welded at the construction site. How it's made: 1) Make drawings and BOMs. 2) Order material: angles, plates, fasteners. Calculate the sum of all lengths for steel shapes, and calculate area of all plates by thickness. Use some ratio to take into account scrap metal. 3) Form work orders for different fabrication places: weld shop, saw cut, plasma cut. For the tower: saw cut steel shapes to length, punch holes, mark up part number for each detail. The tower elements can be partially painted (except the areas to be welded). Bolts will be used for preliminary assembly. After welding, they should be removed. The platforms and stairs will be completely made in the shop. 4) Foundation is needed for the tower. So let's assume that it will be made by another company. They need some drawings to design foundation and anchor bolt...
