File Formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and HTML
Here are examples of how different file formats affect picture quality and size.
PNG-simple pictures are of good quality and have small size, because of the simple data processed. Complex pictures (such as photos) will have a very large size, because of the complex information.
JPEG-has small size and poor quality. It is good for complex information, (such as photos) because of the small size.
BPM-processes data pixel by pixel. Has good quality, but a very large size.
TIFF-similar to BMP. Good quality, but very large size.
HTML format
HTML- communicates with the internet to display text, images, etc. in a web page.
